Meet Senior Master Instructor Rick Cockrell. Rick is an Army combat veteran who transitioned into civilian law enforcement upon leaving military service. He is currently located in Texarkana, Arkansas/Texas.

During his military career, he has been able to travel the world to train and work, including being an Air Assault Honor Graduate from the Warrior Training Center out of Ft. Benning Georgia. His military training has instilled a hard work ethic, attention to detail, use of lethal and less-lethal weapon systems and tactics as well as defensive and building clearing tactics. While in theatre, he has conducted multiple combat missions including civil affair and reconnaissance missions.

Upon his return home, he wanted to continue his service to his community and began working at his local police department where he quickly moved through the ranks. He has severed in multiple divisions which include patrol, special operations as a housing authority investigator and crime suppression officer, field training officer, and now serves as a threat and intelligence investigator and training officer.

Rick Cockrell has also been attached to the SWAT Team since 2011 and serves as an executive board member of the Arkansas Tactical Officers Association. He has served as a Law Enforcement instructor since 2011 and specializes in firearm courses, close quarter tactics, vehicle assaults, defense tactics, Active Shooter Response, Basic SWAT School and Less/lethal weapon systems.

Rick works as an adjunct instructor for multiple non-profit organizations traveling all over the US providing advanced law enforcement and military training. He has been a JPX Less Lethal instructor since 2015 and has had multiple deployments in the field. Because of his on the job experience, Rick provides a unique way of teaching his courses and gives great insight into the use and versatility of the JPX Jet protector.
