Lucy has been part of the law enforcement family most of her life. Born in Ecuador and while living in her home country, her older brother achieved the rank of General of the Republic of Ecuador prior to retiring.
Lucy as a young lady, recently college graduated wanted a chance to see the world and also be able to represent her country. Lucy applied to become part of the Diplomats Corp and was rank number 3 out from a pool of candidates of over 700.
Lucy was chosen to come to the United States as a Diplomat for Ecuador and was assigned to Washington DC.
Lucy had several opportunities traveling abroad, working as the assistant to several Ambassadors of Ecuador.
Scott, Lucy’s husband, a retired Sergeant with the Maryland State Police was assigned to the Annapolis Maryland Barracks, where they were introduced and later got married.
In 2016, when Scott was exploring the possible opportunities of the new Less Lethal tool for Law Enforcement,”The JPX Pepper Gun” she knew this was what Law Enforcement was needing and quickly was a supporter of this new tool.
Recently in October 2017, Lucy became JPX East Coast, 1st Lady Master Instructor. Besides other obligations, including running her own home furnishings company, Lucia’s Fine Furniture, she is here to assist women wanting to protect themselves in a world different from few years ago.
